Baseball Game Preview: Lloyd Memorial Juggernauts vs. Boone County Rebels

Lloyd Memorial and Boone County are an even 3-3 against one another since April of 2016, but likely not for long. The Juggernauts will head out on the road to take on the Rebels at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Boone County took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Lloyd Memorial, who comes in off a win.

On Wednesday, Lloyd Memorial had just enough and edged out Villa Madonna 4-2. The win continues a trend for the Juggernauts in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now won five in a row.

The team relied heavily on Hayden Hungler, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high.

Meanwhile, Boone County was not able to break out of their rough patch last Wednesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They lost 10-0 to Ryle.

Boone County saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ben Inman, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double. That double marked the first that Inman has hit this season.

Lloyd Memorial's victory bumped their record up to 10-8. As for Boone County, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-13.

Lloyd Memorial beat Boone County 6-2 in their previous meeting back in March. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Juggernauts since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
