Volleyball Recap: Lakota West Comes Up Short

Lakota West had lost eight straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Tuesday they dropped their record down to 1-7 to make it nine. They came up short against the Mason Comets, falling 3-0. If the Firebirds were looking for revenge after losing 3-1 to the Comets when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

As for Mason, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. The win made it back-to-back victories for they.

Declan Mulvin was the offensive standout of the game as he had four digs, four aces, and one block. That's the most aces he has posted over his last five contests.

Coming up, Lakota West will head out to face off against Archbishop Alter at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Mason, they will host Princeton at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
