Softball Recap: Springfield Continues Road Dominance on Monday

The scorekeeper got an easy start on Monday as neither Springfield nor Anthony Wayne made it on the board until the sixth inning. The Blue Devils came out on top against the Generals by a score of 5-0. This was payback for the Blue Devils, who suffered a 5-4 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Springfield pushed their record up to 16-8 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.3 runs over those games. As for Anthony Wayne, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 17-3.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Springfield will square off against rival Napoleon at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Anthony Wayne is set to take on their familiar foe Whitmer at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
