Basketball Recap: Curtis Baptist Wins Going Away Against Holly Hill Academy

With a playoff win on the line, Curtis Baptist rose to the challenge on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Holly Hill Academy Raiders as they made off with an 81-59 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Crusaders have posted since December 13, 2024.

Curtis Baptist found their leader in freshman Treivan Wright, who went 11-for-21 en route to 24 points in addition to eight assists and seven steals. The match was Wright's fifth in a row with at least 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brayden Husband, who went 8-for-14 on his way to 18 points along with eight rebounds and five blocks.

Curtis Baptist has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a massive bump to their 14-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.6 points over those games. As for Holly Hill Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-15.
