John Smith, Archbishop Stepinac's leading rusher, solidified his role on Friday. Smith rushed for 150 yards and one score while picking up 7.5 yards per carry, good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 120 rushing yards.

Looking ahead, Smith and Archbishop Stepinac will take on Cardinal Hayes at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Smith had to take a loss the last time the two teams duked it out, losing their game back in October of 2024 24-3. Could another big game from him be enough to change the outcome this time?
