Flag Football Recap: Evans Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Evans can now relate to. They came up short against the Seckinger Jaguars on Thursday, falling 26-6. The Knights just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Despite the loss, Evans had strong showings from Sadie Morningstar, who gained 120 total yards and a touchdown, and Kyleigh Chase, who gained 116 total yards.

Nalani Gainey continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Seckinger, throwing for 162 yards and two touchdowns while completing 72.7% of her passes, and also rushing for 79 yards. Gainey also deserves a shoutout for her performance on D, making five total tackles and defending two passes. Brooklyn Miller also helped with two TDs in total.

Evans' defeat dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Seckinger, the victory was the 16th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 19-1.

Evans does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Seckinger, they have already played their next game, a 27-6 win against Mount Vernon on the 4th.
