Basketball Recap: Roosevelt's Winning Streak Snapped at Three Games

While it was all tied up 22-22 at halftime, Roosevelt was not quite South East's equal in the second half on Friday. They fell 60-48 to the South East Jaguars. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rough Riders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 47-41 back in December of 2024.

With the defeat, Roosevelt broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 8-8. As for South East, their win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Roosevelt will welcome South Gate at 4:00 p.m. on January 31st. As for South East, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the South East Jaguars challenge the Legacy Tigers at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
