Volleyball Recap: Vacaville Wins Going Away Against Pioneer

Vacaville barely beat Pioneer the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Bulldogs blew past the Patriots 3-0 on Wednesday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-2 back in March.

Vacaville's got stronger as the match went on, holding Pioneer to fewer and fewer points set over set. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-18, 25-15.

David Sinclair paced Vacaville's offense, picking up 15 kills. Sinclair got some help from Kjell (Luke) Weidemeier and his 18 assists.

Vacaville's victory bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Pioneer, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-13.

Coincidentally, Vacaville and Pioneer will both be playing Vanden the next time they take the court. The Bulldogs will head out to face the Vikings at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, while the Patriots will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
