Prosper is 10-0 against McKinney since January of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Prosper Eagles will head out to face off against the McKinney Lions at 7:30 p.m. Prosper is coming into the game hot, having won their last six games.

Prosper's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 1-0 win over Plano. Give the Eagles' defense some credit: that's the team's sixth straight shutout.

Meanwhile, while it was all tied up 1-1 at halftime, McKinney was not quite Plano West's equal in the second half on Tuesday. They fell just short of Wolves by a score of 3-2. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 156th, while Wolves are ranked 22nd).

Prosper pushed their record up to 7-2-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those three matches. As for McKinney, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5-1 record this season.

Prosper took their win against McKinney when the teams last played back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 6-1. Will Prosper repeat their success, or does McKinney have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
