Preview: Bunkie Panthers vs. Episcopal Knights
The Bunkie Panthers will square off against the Episcopal Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Two weeks ago, Bunkie took their matchup at home with ease, bagging a 47-12 victory over Marksville. The win made it back-to-back wins for Bunkie.
Meanwhile, with a playoff game on the line, Episcopal rose to the challenge on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat King Charter 50-6 at home. The victory was nothing new for Episcopal as they're now sitting on four straight.
Braeden George was a one-man wrecking crew for Episcopal as he rushed for 192 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 12.0 yards per carry. George was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 69 yards. Reid Chauvin was another key contributor, rushing for 140 yards and a touchdown while picking up 8.2 yards per carry.
Their wins bumped Bunkie to 9-1 and Episcopal to 8-3.
