Top 2021 prospect headed to Southern California after putting up 2,300 yards for Texas school.

General Booty, one of the top quarterbacks from the Lone Star State, is headed to the Trinity League for his junior season. Booty is transferring to JSerra Catholic (San Juan Capistrano, Calif.) and will play in the toughest league in the country.

During his sophomore year at Cornerstone Christian in San Antonio, Booty threw for nearly 2,300 yards and 19 touchdowns adding four more scores on the ground.

Bloodlines run deep in the Booty family. His uncle, John David Booty, was drafted in the fifth round of the 2008 NFL draft after a successful college career at the University of Southern California. During his three-year high school career at Evangel Christian Academy (Shreveport, La.) he threw for nearly 8,500 yards and 88 touchdowns while leading them to back-to-back state championships in 2001 and 2002.

Josh Booty, General's other uncle, was also a big-time quarterback at Evangel Christian Academy. He became the first high school player to throw for 10,000 yards and ended his career with 11,700 yards and 126 touchdowns. After being the starting quarterback at Louisiana State University he spent time briefly in the NFL and Major League Baseball.

While he hasn't thrown for as many yards as his two uncles he will be recruited just as hard. He's one of the top quarterback prospects from the Class of 2021 and will get to test his skills against the best competition in high school football for the next two seasons. The Lions were 9-3 — 3-2 in Trinity League play — last season and proved they belong in the upper echelon of teams in Southern California and expect big things in 2019 and expect Booty to be the starting quarterback next season.
