Oconto Falls extended their winning streak to six games thanks to a huge performance from Izzy Otto. Everything went the Panthers' way against Marinette last Tuesday as they made off with a 3-0 win for which the team can thank Otto, who had five digs and five aces. She is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 12 or more in each of the last 13 games she's played.
Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Oconto Falls took every set by at least 13 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-7, 25-12.
Oconto Falls' success was spearheaded by the efforts of Rylie Shallow, who had eight digs and four assists, and Viviana Moua, who had four digs and two aces. That's the most assists Shallow has posted over her last seven matches.
They weren't the only good servers: Oconto Falls was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 20 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, with a playoff win on the line, Notre Dame Academy rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They blew past the Wildcats 3-0.
The final score came out to 25-0, 25-15, 25-16.
Notre Dame Academy's victory bumped their record up to 13-25. As for Oconto Falls, their win bumped their record up to 33-7.
