Goddard is a perfect 5-0 against Augusta since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Lions will challenge the Orioles at 6:30 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Goddard will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one goal on Thursday, then bounced right back against Arkansas City on Tuesday. The Lions were the clear victors by an 8-1 margin over the Bulldogs. Considering Goddard's offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

They hit Arkansas City with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Bailey Hess (5), Peyton Wiebe (2), and Brinley Hedden.

Meanwhile, Augusta sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over Pittsburg on Tuesday.

Augusta now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Goddard, their win bumped their record up to 6-7.

Everything went Goddard's way against Augusta in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, as Goddard made off with a 5-1 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lions since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
