Football Recap: East Henderson Comes Up Short + How To Watch

East Henderson had lost eight straight at home dating back to last season, but on Friday they dropped down to 0-10 to make it nine. They were beaten by the Tuscola Mountaineers 46-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 37-7 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

As for Tuscola, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-5. The contest marked their most dominant victory of the season.

Tuscola found their leader in sophomore Sam Trantham, who rushed for 205 yards and three scores on only 15 carries. Trantham has become a key player for the Mountaineers: the team is 4-1 when he posts at least 100 rushing yards, but 1-4 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of John Hansen, who gained 98 total yards and two touchdowns.

East Henderson does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Tuscola, they will square off against East Burke at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. That matchup will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Trantham and Ossie Burkeen.
