Basketball Game Preview: Dolores Bears vs. Mancos Bluejays

Dolores hasn't had much luck against Mancos recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Dolores Bears will head out on the road to challenge the Mancos Bluejays at 4:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Dolores is headed into Friday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Tuesday. They were dealt a 63-23 defeat at the hands of Nucla. While losing is never fun, the Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 292nd, while the Mustangs are ranked 116th).

Taylor Erautt put forth a good effort for the losing side as she posted 17 points. That was a full 73.9% of Dolores' points, marking the fourth time in a row Erautt has had more than a third of the team's points.

Meanwhile, Mancos was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 58-34 to Dove Creek.

Dolores' defeat dropped their record down to 7-15. As for Mancos, their loss dropped their record down to 6-13.

Dolores came up short against Mancos in their previous meeting back in January, falling 29-25. Can Dolores avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
