Soccer Game Preview: Burlington-Edison vs. Lynden

The Burlington-Edison Tigers will square off against the Lynden Lions at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Burlington-Edison's last three games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

It was a proper cat-fight when Burlington-Edison challenged Lakewood on Tuesday. The Tigers fell just short of the Cougars by a score of 3-2.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lynden). They put the hurt on Blaine with a sharp 7-1 victory on Tuesday. Lynden haven't had any issues with Blaine recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Burlington-Edison's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4-3. As for Lynden, their victory bumped their record up to 5-1-2.

Burlington-Edison was able to grind out a solid win over Lynden when the teams last played back in April of 2024, winning 2-0. Will the Tigers repeat their success, or do the Lions have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
