Monta Vista piles up the points against Independence

Recap: Monta Vista Matadors vs. Independence 76ers
The Monta Vista Matadors scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They took their matchup at home with ease, bagging a 80-39 victory over Independence. The victory was just what Monta Vista needed coming off of a 50-22 defeat in their prior matchup.
Independence lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Muntazir Mohamed, who scored eight points. The team also got some help courtesy of Elijah Thorn, who scored six points.
Monta Vista's victory bumped their record up to 9-6. As for Independence, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-12.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Monta Vista will take on Lynbrook at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lynbrook will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive. As for Independence, they will head out on the road to square off against Branham at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Branham will be looking to extend their current ten-game winning streak.
