Huron is 9-1 against Sturgis Brown since February of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The two teams will face off at 12:30 p.m. without much rest having both just played. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Friday, Huron came up short against Spearfish and fell 62-52. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Sturgis Brown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against Mitchell, falling 50-30. While losing is never fun, the Scoopers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Dakota basketball rankings (they are ranked 87th, while the Kernels are ranked 18th).

Huron's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Sturgis Brown, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-9.

Huron didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Sturgis Brown in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, but they still walked away with a 60-54 victory. Will Huron repeat their success, or does Sturgis Brown have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
