Shamokin Area had won two straight games and Cru Schroyer did his part to make it three on Saturday. The Indians came out on top against the Jersey Shore Bulldogs by a score of 66-53 for which the team can thank Schroyer, who almost dropped a double-double with 20 points and nine boards. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played.

Another player making a difference was Xavier Paul, who posted nine points along with five rebounds and three steals. He is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 62% in the last four games he's played.

Shamokin Area's victory bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Jersey Shore, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Shamokin Area will venture away from home to challenge Mifflinburg at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Jersey Shore, they will head out to square off against Selinsgrove at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. The Bulldogs' defense better be ready for this one: the Seals have averaged an impressive 54.8 points per game this season.
