Softball Game Preview: Union Bears vs. Central Wise Warriors

The Union Bears are taking a road trip to square off against the Central Wise Warriors at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Lee hit Union with a five-run fourth inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Bears came up short against the Generals, falling 10-0. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Bears haven't been shut out since back in March.

Meanwhile, it was close, but on Tuesday Central Wise sidestepped Ridgeview for a 4-3 win. The victory continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Wolfpack: they've now won six in a row.

The team relied heavily on Sophie Carter, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in March.

This is the second loss in a row for Union and nudges their season record down to 7-11. As for Central Wise, their win bumped their record up to 10-6.
