Basketball Game Preview: Napavine Tigers vs. Toutle Lake Ducks

Napavine and Toutle Lake are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2019, but not for long. The Napavine Tigers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Toutle Lake Ducks at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The timing is sure in Napavine's favor as the team sits on 20 straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Toutle Lake has been banged up by 11 consecutive losses on the road also dating back to last season.

On Monday, Napavine was able to grind out a solid victory over Toledo, taking the game 60-53.

Meanwhile, Toutle Lake lost to Rainier at home by a 63-49 margin on Saturday. While losing is never fun, the Ducks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 357th, while the Mountaineers are ranked 161st).

Toutle Lake's loss dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Napavine, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-2 record this season.

Everything came up roses for Napavine against Toutle Lake when the teams last played back in December of 2024, as the squad secured a 72-37 win. Does Napavine have another victory up their sleeve, or will Toutle Lake turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
