Basketball Game Preview: John Hay vs. Ellet Orangemen

John Hay will venture away from home to face off against the Ellet Orangemen at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 81-50, which was the final score in John Hay's tilt against Louisville on Saturday. While losing is never fun, John Hay can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 589th, while Louisville is ranked 11th).

Meanwhile, Ellet had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20.6 points) and they went ahead and made it six on Saturday. They walked away with a 60-47 victory over the Wildcats.

Ellet's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-7. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.0 points over those games. As for John Hay, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 9-13 record this season.
