Basketball Recap: Wright City Starts Season with Victory Against Battiest

Wright City had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They were the clear victors by a 54-29 margin over the Battiest Panthers. The win continues a trend for the Lumberjax in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won six in a row.

Wright City was led to victory by Mia Reich and Grace Vance. Reich dropped a double-double with 21 points and 11 boards, while Vance dropped a double-double with 14 points and 14 rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Reich a new career-high in assists (six). Kambri Moore was another key player, putting up eight points and five steals.

Looking ahead, Wright City will take on Eagletown at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Battiest, they will square off against Cameron at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
