Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Chaparral). They came out on top against the Douglass Bulldogs by a score of 18-15 on Monday. With that victory, the Roadrunners brought their scoring average up to 6.3 runs per game.

The team relied heavily on Chloe Cannon, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one double. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Savannah Baker was another key player, going 1-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Chaparral kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 5.2 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 contests they've averaged 11.4.

Chaparral's win bumped their record up to 3-10. As for Douglass, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-12.

As of now, neither Chaparral nor the Bulldogs have any future games scheduled.
