Soccer Recap: Terry Sanford Victorious

Terry Sanford won the last time they faced Purnell Swett and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Bulldogs skirted past the Rams 2-1. Both teams had to tread carefully at times as the refs weren't afraid to hand out yellow cards: Sammy Tapia was handed one for Terry Sanford, while Purnell Swett got theirs courtesy of Phoenix Cummings.

David Pierre and Brenden Renteria scored both of Terry Sanford's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 22 goals.

The victory got Terry Sanford back to even at 8-8-4. As for Purnell Swett, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-12-2 record this season.

Terry Sanford will host Gray's Creek at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Gray's Creek's last three matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. Purnell Swett does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
