Jackson Smith put up the most strikeouts he's had since back in May of 2025 on Friday. He struck out 12 batters over 6.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits (and only one walk), good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances.
