It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Calvert had no problem doing just that  on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the New Riegel Blue Jackets with a sharp  3-0 win. The  victory was just business as usual for the Senecas, who after 25 matches remain undefeated  this season.
 Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Calvert took every set by at least 12 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-6, 25-6,  25-13.
Calvert can attribute much of their success to  Kate Coleman, who  had six  digs and three  aces.
 Coleman wasn't the only good servers: Calvert  was lethal from the service line and  finished the match with 14  aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  served at least seven  aces in 23 consecutive  matches.
Calvert's win bumped their record up to 25-0. As for New Riegel,  the  loss snapped their winning streak at three matches  and leaves them with a 9-16 record.
 Looking ahead, after both having extra time off, Calvert and Kalida will shake off the rust and duke it out  at 6:00  p.m.  on  the 30th. New Riegel does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
