Softball Game Preview: Nardin Academy Gators vs. St. Mary's Lancers

The Nardin Academy Gators will challenge the St. Mary's Lancers at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

After dropping their season opener at home, St. Mary's is headed out to face a Gators squad ready to give their home crowd a win. Nardin Academy fell just short of Sacred Heart Academy by a score of 9-7 on Monday. Gators fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Sharks since on Monday.

Nardin Academy got a massive performance out of Madeline Dehn, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Another player making a difference was Cecelia Donoghue, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one double.

Meanwhile, St. Mary's kicked off their season on Friday but they'll have to wait until their next match for a more definitive result. They and Clarence finished up on equal footing with a 5-5 tie.
