McDonogh posted their closest win since November 25, 2024 on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the St. Mary's Saints, sneaking past 53-51. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.

St. Mary's lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Casey O'Hare, who went 6 for 9 on her way to 17 points. Those 17 points gave O'Hare a new career-high. Bailey Harris was another key player, going 6 of 15 en route to 13 points.

McDonogh is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.9 points per game. As for St. Mary's, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-13 record this season.
