Clarksville took a six-run defeat the last time they faced off against Springfield, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. Clarksville sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-4 victory over Springfield on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Wildcats have posted since April 30, 2024.

Clarksville is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.8 runs over those games. Springfield is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8-1.
