Preview: Tyler Knights vs. Wirt County Tigers
Tyler is 10-0 against Wirt County since March of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Tyler Knights will be playing in front of their home fans against the Wirt County Tigers at 5:00 p.m. Tyler will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak dating back to last season alive.
On Wednesday, Tyler never let their opponents score. Everything went their way against Valley as Tyler made off with a 17-0 win. The victory was just what Tyler needed coming off of a 13-3 defeat in their prior game.
Landon Boggs made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (he also didn't allow any walks). Boggs was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-1 with two RBI and a double.
In other batting news, Zade Billings and Ethan Clark did most of the damage at the plate: Billings scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances, while Clark went 1-for-2 with a home run and three RBI.
