Basketball Game Preview: Overton Wolverines vs. White Station Spartans

Overton and White Station are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2015, but not for long. The Overton Wolverines will venture away from home to challenge the White Station Spartans at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Overton has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Overton is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Kingsbury 87-42 on Friday. The Wolverines have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 26 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, White Station had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Warriors 56-53.

White Station is also on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.0 points per game. As for Overton, their win ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-11.

Overton couldn't quite finish off White Station when the teams last played back in January and fell 45-43. Can Overton avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
