Football Recap: Searcy Continues Road Dominance on Thursday

Searcy won the last time they faced Beebe and things went their way on Thursday too. The Lions were the clear victors by a 49-27 margin over the Badgers. The result was nothing new for the Lions, who have now won six matchups by 21 points or more so far this season.

Searcy's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB three times. Jayden Simmons was especially locked on to Beebe's QB and sacked him twice. Simmons also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with eight. Searcy got some further help from Isaiah Davis: he forced two fumbles and made nine total tackles (2.0 for loss).

When it comes to explaining why Beebe lost, don't look at Curtis Goodrich. Despite the final result, he rushed for 177 yards and one TD. Goodrich's rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his sixth straight game with at least 127 rushing yards.

Searcy's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-1. As for Beebe, their record is now 6-4.

Searcy wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 56-34 loss against Lakeside on the 14th. As for Beebe, they have also already played their next contest, a 28-22 defeat against Hot Springs on the 14th.
