Baseball Recap: South Dearborn Wins Going Away Against Clarksville

South Dearborn's game on Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Clarksville Generals with a sharp 16-1 win. That 15 run margin sets a new team best for the Knights this season.

Conor Huff was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. He is becoming a predictor of South Dearborn's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 2-3 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Gabe Perry, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one double.

South Dearborn always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .594. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Clarksville only posted an OBP of .211.

South Dearborn's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Clarksville, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.

South Dearborn wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 10-0 win against Franklin County on the 28th. As for Clarksville, they have also already played their next game, a 12-1 loss against Charlestown on the 1st.
