Softball Recap: South Pike Comes Up Short

South Pike was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against the Franklin County Bulldogs, falling 10-1. The Eagles were not able to make up for their defeat to the Bulldogs from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

South Pike's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Franklin County, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-6-1.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Franklin County beat South Pike by a score of 16-4 later that day.
