Volleyball Recap: Hart Pirates vs. Fremont Packers
Hart was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Fremont Packers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Packers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 on October 1st.
Hart started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-15, 25-23.
Jenna Babbin paced Hart's offense, picking up 11 kills. Babbin got some help from Grace Tucker and her 16 assists. Alayna Schiller controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.
Hart's loss dropped their record down to 20-22-1. As for Fremont, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 34-10.
The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Hart will face off against Big Rapids at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Fremont, they will welcome Reeths-Puffer at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
