Woodinville lost to Mount Si back in March, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Monday. The Falcons skirted past the Wildcats 4-2.

Levi Grothen looked comfortable as he struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits (and not a single walk). He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two hits any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Braden Perry, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI and one double.

Woodinville has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.2 runs on average over those games. As for Mount Si, they dropped their record down to 10-5 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Coming up, Woodinville will challenge Juanita at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Mount Si, they will take on Eastlake at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Wildcats 3.7, the Wolves 2.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.
