Basketball Recap: Lincoln Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins at Home

After flying high against Champaign Central last Saturday, Lincoln came back down to earth. The Lincoln Railsplitters fell 47-39 to the Peoria Notre Dame Irish on Monday. The Railsplitters were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Irish apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Lincoln's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-11. As for Peoria Notre Dame, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 24-4.

Lincoln will head out to take on Bloomington at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Peoria Notre Dame, they will welcome Peoria at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Peoria Notre Dame is facing Peoria at the right time seeing as Peoria is stuck on a 23-game losing streak.
