Baseball Game Preview: Sage Creek Bobcats vs. Fallbrook Warriors

The Sage Creek Bobcats will be taking part in a tournament against the Fallbrook Warriors at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Sage Creek fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Elsinore on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 2-1. The Bobcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Sage Creek got a good showing from Jett Hibdon, who pitched 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.

On the hitting side, Sage Creek saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sean Saiki, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases. Those two stolen bases gave Saiki a new career-high.

Meanwhile, Fallbrook came up short against Valley Center on Monday and fell 6-3. The loss was the Warriors' first of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Fallbrook fell to 2-1. As for Sage Creek, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. Sage Creek has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 8.8 hits per game. However, it's not like Fallbrook struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 5 hits.
