It was a good run, but Liberty Christian unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of the Wimberley Texans by a score of 2-1. While the Warriors didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Texans 25-20 in the first set.

Liberty Christian started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The final score came out to 20-25, 25-9, 15-12.

Wimberley was led to victory by Skylar Herring and Ashton Shipman. Herring had 20 assists and three digs, while Shipman had six digs and two aces. That's the most assists Herring has posted over her last nine matchups. Mariah McCoy also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

Liberty Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Wimberley, they pushed their record up to 8-1 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home.

Liberty Christian will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Needville at 1:00 p.m. As for Wimberley, they will play host again on Saturday to welcome Aubrey, where the match is scheduled at 1:00 p.m.
