Recap: Calvary Christian Cougar vs. Cramerton Christian Academy Crusaders
After flying high against the Tabernacle Christian Ram last Tuesday, the Calvary Christian Cougar came back down to earth. Calvary Christian was just a bucket shy of victory on Friday and fell 55-54 to Cramerton Christian Academy. Calvary Christian was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Cramerton Christian Academy apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.
Brayden Johnson was his usual excellent self, scoring 12 points along with eight rebounds and two steals for Cramerton Christian Academy. Johnson hasn't dropped below two steals for five straight games. Grant Wooten was another key contributor, scoring six points along with 13 rebounds and three steals.
Calvary Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 21-11. As for Cramerton Christian Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten contests, which provided a massive bump to their 12-10 record this season.
Calvary Christian will look to defend their home court on Monday against Oak Level Baptist Academy at 7:15 p.m. As for Cramerton Christian Academy, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 63-48 defeat vs. Woodland Baptist Christian on the 10th.
