Basketball Recap: Rimrock Comes Up Short

Rimrock was the 61-14 winner over Vision when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Rimrock Raiders took a 52-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of Vision on Thursday.

Raelynn Nickel continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Vision, dropping a double-double on 18 points and ten steals. Nickel has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 24 times she's played. Angel Gutierrez was another key player, putting up seven points along with 14 boards and four steals.

Rimrock's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Vision, with the win, they broke their six-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-6.

After both having extra time off, Rimrock and Valley will shake off the cobwebs and face off against one another at 7:30 p.m. on January 4, 2025. One thing working in Valley's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four contests. As for Vision, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Nampa Christian at 7:30 p.m. on January 4, 2025.
