It's playoff time, and University had no trouble coming through when it counted. They had just enough and edged out the Marquez Gladiators 5-3. The victory was nothing new for the Trojans as they're now sitting on six straight.

University's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-10. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Marquez, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 24-4.

Looking ahead, University will face off against Woodlake at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Tigers will roll in looking for their 12th straight win, something the Trojans surely won't give up without a fight. Marquez does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
