Edinburg better focus on containing David Garcia and Chris Luna as the pair were huge in Weslaco's win. Garcia gained 40 total yards and four touchdowns, while Luna threw for 130 yards and a pair of TDs.

Weslaco's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Edinburg, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 5-3.
