Softball Game Preview: St. Thomas More Sabers vs. Iroquois West Raiders

The St. Thomas More Sabers will face off against the Iroquois West Raiders at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. St. Thomas More is looking for their season's first win.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for St. Thomas More's offense. They lost 10-0 to Argenta-Oreana on Tuesday.

St. Thomas More saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Audrey Gooding, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. Gooding is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Sophia Goebel also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Meanwhile, Iroquois West fell victim to Westville and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They came up short against the Tigers, falling 17-0. The Raiders haven't had much luck with the Tigers recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

St. Thomas More's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Iroquois West, their loss dropped their record down to 5-9.
