Soccer Recap: Alvarado Comes Up Short

Alvarado was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was the Kennedale Wildcats who were credited with the victory. While losing is never fun, the Indians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 531st, while the Wildcats are ranked 250th).

Alvarado's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Kennedale, the win keeps them at an undefeated 11-0.

Coming up, Alvarado will square off against Venus at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Venus is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.5 goals per game this season. As for Kennedale, they will welcome Life Waxahachie at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Life Waxahachie will roll in looking for their 16th straight victory, something Kennedale surely won't give up without a fight.
