Basketball Game Preview: Summit Christian Academy Eagles vs. TEACH Homeschool Beach Breakers

Having just played yesterday, the Summit Christian Academy Eagles will get right back to it and host the TEACH Homeschool Beach Breakers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Summit Christian Academy has three straight wins, TEACH Homeschool has 13 straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

On Thursday, Summit Christian Academy sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 63-60 victory over Denbigh Baptist Christian.

Summit Christian Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Courtland Reiter led the charge by going 7 of 12 on his way to 16 points and seven boards. Chase Miller was another key player, going 7 for 10 en route to 16 points and eight rebounds.

Meanwhile, TEACH Homeschool lost 51-30 to Oaktree Academy on Monday.

Summit Christian Academy will need focus on slowing down Mac Carlson, one of several TEACH Homeschool players who made an impact when they last played. He posted six points along with ten boards and three blocks. Another player making a difference was Dylan Cooper, who scored six points and seven rebounds.

Summit Christian Academy's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-9. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.0 points per game. As for TEACH Homeschool, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-8.

Summit Christian Academy and TEACH Homeschool were neck-and-neck when the teams last played back in February of 2024, but Summit Christian Academy came up empty-handed after a 49-48 loss.
