Softball Game Preview: Crosby Bulldogs vs. Waterbury Career Academy Spartans

Crosby is 0-10 against Waterbury Career Academy since May of 2017 but things could change on Friday. The Bulldogs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Spartans at 3:45 p.m. Crosby has given up an average of 16 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Crosby had taken Kennedy down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Wednesday. The Bulldogs fell 18-13 to the Eagles. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Waterbury Career Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against Wolcott, falling 17-1.

Waterbury Career Academy saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Camilla Garcia, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Crosby's loss dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Waterbury Career Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-9.

Crosby suffered a grim 19-13 defeat to Waterbury Career Academy in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can the Bulldogs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
