While Henderson's win against Jefferson wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Lions sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Bulldogs on Tuesday. The win continues a trend for the Lions in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won five in a row.

Henderson had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-13, 25-16.

Henderson now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Jefferson, they dropped their record down to 4-4 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Henderson didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-2 defeat against Marshall on the 19th. As for Jefferson, they will venture away from home to challenge Gilmer at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday.
