Volleyball Game Preview: McNair Eagles vs. Stagg Delta Kings + Official Tickets

McNair has gone 8-2 against Stagg recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:30 p.m. Stagg took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on McNair, who comes in off a win.

McNair had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Franklin last Wednesday. The Eagles put the hurt on the Yellowjackets with a sharp 3-0 win. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Yellowjackets recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

McNair never let Franklin on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The final score came out to 25-16, 25-22, 25-13.

Gracie Solorio was the offensive standout of the match as she had 24 assists and nine digs. She has been hot for a while, having posted 12 or more assists the last nine times she's played. Victoria Ochoa was another key player, getting eight digs and three aces.

McNair was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in four consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, Stagg was not able to break out of their rough patch last Wednesday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They fell 3-1 to Weston Ranch.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-19, 22-25, 25-19.

Stagg's defeat dropped their record down to 1-11. As for McNair, their win bumped their record up to 7-8.

McNair took their victory against Stagg in their previous matchup back in September by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
